As part of my work, I get to travel to cities and towns (and villages) all over New York State. Since I’m not a New York native, this kind of travel helps me get to know my adopted state (even though I still retain a Texas driver’s license).

This week I was in Walton (pop. approximately 3,000 — the “perfect size” said a resident named Cal), home of the Delaware County Fair and the best tasting drinking water in New York.
