Olivia Jeffries‘ art sets out to convey the “precariousness of life and inevitability of death which embody the complex and uncertain nature of simply being human.” She draws and paints on used paper, including book covers and old pages that are stained and marked, which she uses as part of the piece. This last piece is made with tens of tiny pinholes in a vintage photograph. The white spots are actually light coming in from behind the photo.
